Our Daughter’s Christmas Eve Box

One of our Christmas traditions every year is putting together a Christmas Eve box for my daughter. She gets this instead of stocking stuffers. Every family does it differently, but this is a guide I follow: something to read, something to eat, something to wear, something for bath, something to do. I also crochet her something for it as well. My daughter opens it on Christmas Eve in the morning after breakfast. This way she can spend the day doing her new activity, reading her new book(s), and then take a special bath and get into her new pajamas!

This year I crocheted her this Rudolf doll. It will go well with her snack this year (reindeer food!), plus its adorable.

Something to wear: I got these Christmas pajamas at Walmart this year!! My husband and I have matching ones, which we have never done before. I don’t know who’s more excited. These are excellent quality this year and at only $10-12 a pair, I couldn’t resist.

Something to read: This year my daughter got two books, The Night Before Christmas and Biscuit’s Christmas Eve. Both from Walmart!

Something to do: My daughter is loving Peppa Pig this year, so it’s only appropriate that she got a Peppa Pig coloring book. She’s going to love it. I snagged this from Target.

Something to eat: When I saw the bag of reindeer food (it’s actually like a festive trail mix), I thought it would be perfect for her box this year. I can just picture her snuggling her crochet Rudolf doll and munching on reindeer food. I also included a chocolate covered marshmallow santa. I grabbed these at Walmart & Target respectively.

Something for bath: Last year I got her a candy cane scented bath bomb. But this year I went for the red hot wheels bath bomb from target, which I think she will enjoy.

The last thing I included is a small cup with a straw. It has Santa on it!

Some families get beautiful hand made wooden boxes they can reuse every year! We decided to get a card board box meant for clothing. Everything fit perfectly! I think in the future we will invest in a custom reusable box, but for now this works well and was only $1.

I would love to hear about your Christmas Eve boxes in the comments!!! Merry Christmas Everyone 🎄
